Originally designed in one simple design, weddings rings are now available in a wide variety of styles thanks to advances in jewelry design and metal manufacturing processes. Platinum metal - with a twist - is still a popular trend, plus some new styles:

Rings possessing large and small diamond clusters for both bride and groom wedding bands. The bride’s wedding band will predominately boast diamond clusters that follow past trends including bands covered in a straight circumference of diamonds, or wedding bands encrusted with one large diamond surrounded buy several, smaller diamonds.

 

Patterned wedding bands, including Celtic patterns and elaborate, engraved designs. Some variations will combine this design with the use of precious stones or diamonds. In regards to men’s patterned wedding bands, small diamonds will be implemented with engraved geometrical and triangular patterns.

A narrow, three-quarter wedding band. This band not only has the advantage of being more comfortable than the original full sized band, but will also come at a more affordable price. The narrower wedding band will feature small diamonds for a clustered appearance which will fit nicely with an accompanying engagement ring.

 

The use of two different colored metals together was one of the newest trends for 2011 wedding bands. This trend is aimed towards creating wedding bands that possess a modern style and beautiful finish. Weaved wedding bands use a strong metal, such as white-gold or platinum, which is then weaved in between a thinner piece of colored metal which provides a contrasting finish.
