Many couples
decide to have a destination wedding because it is
not only romantic but it is also practical. If you
cannot afford a "Cinderella" wedding and
a fantasy honeymoon, combining them both will be more
economical for you. It is also a worry-free way to
plan a wedding. So, if you are a couple with little
time for wedding planning, this may be an option for
you.

Most resorts will
have an on-site coordinator who will handle a majority of the
wedding details. Be sure that the consultant has years of experience
in coordinating weddings. All you need to do is decide
where you want your ideal fantasy wedding to be and contact
some major honeymoon hotels to get more information on what
their packages include. A typical package will include the location,
officiant, musicians, flowers, photographer and a champagne
and cake reception. They will also include accommodations for
the wedding night.

Be sure that the
consultant has years of experience in coordinating weddings.
This is especially important if you are getting married out
of the country because she'll need to know all the requirements
(such as necessary information on marriage licenses, medical
tests, how long it will take to process all the paperwork, etc.)

in California, Jamaica, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Caribbean
islands. Many couples invite their closest family and friends
to a special location where everyone can celebrate the couple's
wedding and enjoy a vacation at the same time. You will need
to give your guests ample time to make travel arrangements,
therefore, send out your invitations approximately ten to twelve
weeks before the wedding.

The downside to
having a destination wedding is the fact that many of your guests
will not be able to afford the time or the money to share your
special day with you. If this is the case, have a party when
you return for all your friends and relatives who could not
attend. Make sure you have all your photos developed so you
can show them just how special your day was.
